Refund policy
1. 15-Day Return and Exchange Window
We offer a 15-calendar day return window (money back or exchange) for most items, beginning the day your delivery is confirmed.
2. Eligibility for Standard Returns
To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must strictly meet the following criteria:
It must be in the same condition that you received it: unworn, unused, unwashed, with original tags attached, and in its complete and undamaged original packaging.
You must provide the receipt or proof of purchase.
3. How to Start a Return (Mandatory Prior Contact)
To initiate a return, you must contact our customer service team via email at shop@bymanyc.us.
Variable Return Shipping Address: It is mandatory to contact us before sending any item so we can provide you with the correct return shipping address. The destination address varies depending on the type of product and its manufacturing origin.
Items sent back to us without first submitting a return request and confirming the address will not be accepted or processed for a refund.
4. Return Shipping Costs
All shipping, handling, and insurance costs associated with the return will be borne exclusively by the buyer. BYMANYC ® New York does not cover return shipping costs under any circumstances, unless the item is defective or incorrect (see point 7).
5. Order Cancellation
You can cancel your order within 12 hours of placing it. After this short window, cancellation is no longer possible as we begin immediate processing with our fulfillment partners.
6. Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items (Hygiene and Customization)
Due to their specialized, hygienic, or customized nature, certain items have restricted return eligibility.
Hygiene and Personal Care Products (Cosmetics/Skincare): For health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on any cosmetics, personal care, or skincare product if the original safety seal has been broken, the product has been used, or the original packaging is damaged or opened.
Customized and Made-to-Order Items: Products that are manufactured or modified specifically at the customer’s request (including apparel items with customer-requested personalization and made-to-order items such as most of our Footwear and certain Handbag lines) are considered Final Sale and are not eligible for a monetary refund.
Exchange Option: For Footwear and Handbags, if the item arrives damaged or incorrect, or if the customer requires a size/color exchange (where possible), we offer store credit or an exchange for an item of equal value, pending approval and at BYMANYC’s discretion.
Other Non-Returnable Items: We also exclude returns on sale items, gift cards, or items that have been altered after delivery.
Please contact us immediately if you have any questions about the return eligibility of a specific product before making a purchase.
7. Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt. Contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, so we can fully evaluate the issue and make it right, including covering return shipping costs where applicable.
8. European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period (EU Compliance)
Notwithstanding the above exceptions, if the merchandise is being shipped to a location within the European Union, you have the statutory right to cancel or return your order within 14 calendar days from the date of delivery, for any reason and without justification, in accordance with EU consumer law.
9. Refunds
Once we’ve received and inspected your return, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If Approved: You will be automatically refunded on your original payment method. We will process the refund within 5 business days of approval.
Note on Processing Time: Please remember that your bank or credit card company may take an additional 5 to 10 business days to post the refund to your account after we initiate the payment.
